Something like rockabilly can be heard over the PA before the NO intro music (Funeral For A Viking)

The group come out to the funeral tones of Elegia.

Then Bernard plays about 20 seconds of a riff...not quite the 'Are You Experienced' one, but something along those lines.

lyric: "When I looked into your desperate eyes..."

Hooky ends the song with a distinctive riff.

Quite a few people can be heard singing along, as Bernard's vocals start out low in the mix.

Funeral For A Viking is aired again between main set and encore. There's a couple of edits, and then as the next tune starts, NO take the stage again.

The_Perfect_Kiss

BS: "We're going to start straight and end up reeling."

BS: (to soundman?) "...you say, he's not getting anything..."

Then Bernard and Peter get into a bit of a direction battle.

BS: "Turn the fucking lights down, Andy."

PH: "Turn the fucking PA down, Andy."

BS: "Turn the fucking foldback up, Ed."

PH: "Turn that up bloody..." (can't make out)

Sister_Ray

Bernard's improvision is actually fairly decent, compared to some others I've heard. The song featurs the immortal chorus of "I'd like to fuck you."

lyric: "Sister Ray said I saw you the other day, she said I saw your face, made me feel so sick. When I looked in your pants, I saw your dick. So big, it made me sick." And it gets even lewder, if you can believe it...it's a must-listen for those admirers of Bernard's legendary potty mouth.

A later bit has "this is the end, my girlfriend".

Song speeds up near the end, and ends in howls of feedback.

AUD #2 'ouchmyeyeball' (John), unknown equipment.   This is literally the earliest show that he captured!

AUD #3 RM, Radio Shack recorder w/built-in mics, which is only worth having for taxonomic purposes, as it's a far worse recording, and has never been digitized.

Neither AUD #2 nor #3 are in my possession, they're just ones we have heard exist.
